Following on from a successful planning in-person event in May, we will be running a follow-up online event to officially launch the Advocacy Development Fund this July.

The aim is to let interested groups know about the Fund, led by the Leeds Advocacy Network. Its main goal is to boost advocacy across Leeds, reaching communities who have found it harder than most to have their voices heard.

Grants awarded from the fund are for groups in Leeds who want to help build up advocacy work for the people and communities they serve. The purpose of the fund is to help The Advonet Group deliver its vision of using advocacy to help people come in from the margins

How much is available?

We will be offering grants of between £500 and £10,000 for any community groups in Leeds interested in applying. At the online event, we will have information on how to apply for funding.

Since last month’s event, we have used the feedback we gathered to help us determine awards criteria and priorities.  We will create a simple application process, put together a support offer both for applicants and for those who receive awards. We will be explaining all of these on the day .

Come and find out:

  • What the fund can be used for
  • Who can apply for a grant
  • How you apply

An agenda and details of guest speakers will be published in due course.

When is the event?

It is on Wednesday 20th July from 1pm-3pm on Zoom.
