Our Application Process

Our Application ProcessAdvonet2022-06-23T09:34:19+01:00
We talk you through how to apply for a job vacancy with The Advonet Group and what happens next.

How to Apply for Our Roles

To apply for our roles, please complete The Advonet Group Application Form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Survey. There is an Easy Read version of the application to complete at your own preference. You will also find a detailed job description and person specification on the advert page. CVs are currently not accepted.

Your supporting statement should tell us how you meet the criteria set out in Job Description and Person Specification and give evidence and specific examples of this experience where possible. Please return completed applications and equal opportunities forms to [email protected].

Shortlisting

After the closing date, our interview panel will select who will be invited to interview, using criteria taken from the job description and person specification. If you have been shortlisted, you will be sent the interview information via email and informed what the interview will consist of i.e. an online or in-person interview, a case study etc.

If you have not been accepted, we will let you know and you are encouraged to re-apply to any other roles that interest you across the organisation.

Interview Tasks

In addition to an interview, we may require you to complete a task, presentation or scenario. If a task is included, it will be sent to you ahead of your interview and the interview confirmation email will give you all of the details you need to be successful.

The interview will be a mixture of questions including competency-based questions, knowledge and values questions, (not just testing previous experience).

To be successful in your interview, we encourage you to use our website to research what we do, and how we do it, as well as referring to the Job Description and Person Specification for the role that you have applied to. We will talk to you about at all aspects of your knowledge and experience as well as what you know about us and how we work.

We will talk to you about your knowledge of the sector, and any specific sector standards, as well as how you live and work by our values.

Reasonable Adjustments

For a confidential discussion about support during the recruitment process or any reasonable adjustments you may require, please contact our Central Services team at [email protected] or call the office on 0113 244 0606 and request to speak to one of us.

You will need to let us know about any reasonable adjustments, as early as possible in advance of the interview. This is to ensure that we can put the adjustments into place with enough notice.
