We are delighted to announce that we at The Advonet Group have had our accreditation with Investing in Volunteers renewed. The renewal lasts from the end of August 2023 and recognises how we strive to support our volunteers.
The award covers our Board of Trustees and volunteers with our Turn to Us, Asking You! and Leeds Autism AIM services. As part of the process, Investing in Volunteers spoke to some of our staff, including the Volunteer Coordinators for the Asking You! and Leeds Autism AIM teams.
Positive feedback
They also spoke to a range of volunteers, including Trustees, Learning Disability Citizen Advocates and Autism Mentors. The report they sent us had plenty of positives, including:
- Saying that volunteering with us is a great way to gain skills
- Our vision for volunteering being embedded within our organisation’s overall vision
- Our planning for volunteers being effective in ensuring they are supported with training, inductions and more
In the evaluation process, Investing in Volunteers visited our office and listened to honest feedback from a range of staff and volunteers. The feedback was used for their report.
