As part of the Leeds Advocacy Network’s work in building advocacy across Leeds, there is a fund for community groups. Offering small grants of between £500 and £10,000 from a £25,000 pot, the Advocacy Development Fund is for any community group in Leeds who wants to build advocacy and take it to those who can’t access it.
This funding will support your organisation to deliver advocacy. This will add to your service delivery, volunteering or training, and you can share this with the people you support.
Advocacy is speaking up for yourself and others. Its understanding your rights, your choices and getting your voice heard. We want to help community groups in Leeds to deliver advocacy.
Information event
To help decide how we should spend the fund, we are holding a free information event. It takes place on Tuesday 24th May from 9:30am to 1pm and is at this address:
St George’s Conference Centre

It will be hosted by Peter Gruen, the Chair of The Advonet Group’s Board of Trustees. Cllr Fiona Venner, the Cabinet Member for Children and Adult Social Care & Health, will be speaking at the event.
