The new Leeds Learning Disability Strategy will be unveiled at the next Council Chambers takeover meeting for the Learning Disability Partnership Board. The meeting will take place next Tuesday in the Council Chambers at Leeds Civic Hall.
This meeting will be run by our Asking You! project, and will be organised by the Partnership Board and People’s Parliament – the reference group for adults with learning disabilities that feeds into the Board. At the meeting, the strategy will be introduced. Then, different areas of the strategy will be discussed, including:
- Being connected – this section is about employment
- Being safe – this is about safety
- Being well – this covers healthcare
- Being connected – this goes into two areas – social and transport
