About the Service

Bradford and Craven Autism AIM is a pilot project working in the Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven areas. They work with autistic adults who get little or no funded support by providing one-to-one peer support, help to access GP services and communicate healthcare needs and through monthly mental health-focused peer support groups.

What Does the Service Do

The project offers the following services:

  • One-to-one peer support for up to four sessions a year
  • A Health Access Project, which can help to access GP services, offer peer support and communicate healthcare needs
  • Regular mental health-focused peer support groups, facilitated by the Mental Health Equity Project team

Who is the Service For?

Bradford and Craven Autism AIM is for autistic adults (aged 18 and over) who get little or no funded support. They work in the following areas:

  • Bradford
  • Airedale – includes Keighley, Shipley, Bingley, Baildon, Haworth, Steeton and Silsden
  • Wharfedale – includes Ilkley, Addingham, Burley-in-Wharfedale and Menston
  • Craven – includes Skipton, Settle, Grassington, Gargrave and Ingleton
