The agenda for Friday’s free event for our new Safeguarding Feedback project has been revealed. It kicks off with a brief introduction from Advonet’s Chief Executive Philip Bramson. Then, Kieron Smith and Emma Mortimer from the Leeds Safeguarding Adults Board will give some background on the project and what it aims to do.
Following that, Leep1’s members will be talking about their work on the “Talk to Me, Hear My Voice” campaign. It is about ensuring that people’s voices are heard when experiencing safeguarding. Then, Touchstone’s Safeguarding Group will discuss their involvement in the campaign.

Planning the way forward

Afterwards, Sarah Smith, our Project Coordinator, will be leading discussions around the project’s key questions. They include how to involve people who have been through safeguarding procedures, setting up a Citizens’ Panel to help guide the project and how to support people taking part.
We aim to set up the Citizens’ Panel at the end of the event. In addition, we will begin work on getting feedback from people who’ve been through safeguarding to help inform what we do.
