After more than a decade of service, our Chief Executive Philip Bramson leaves us for a new role. Throughout his time here, Philip has done so much for the organisation, from making new starters feel welcome to even doing some advocacy work himself!
Philip has brought so much to us. Kindness, empathy, compassion, a tireless work ethic and a willingness to listen – all these qualities and more are recognised by our team. Whenever things have changed for The Advonet Group, his calmness has helped to steer us through.
Making connections
As our Chief Executive, Philip has made connections with lots of other third sector, health and social care organisations. He has done this in forums, at conferences and other events in Leeds and beyond, as well as online!
Thanks to this, we have plenty of partnerships with other groups, all working towards making the voices heard of marginalised people and communities.
Milestones
In the past decade or so, there have been major milestones that would have been difficult to achieve without Philip at the helm. They include:
- The merger of Leeds Advocacy, Advocacy Support, Articulate Advocacy and Advocacy for Mental Health and Dementia (A4MHD) into Advonet in 2015
- Achieving awards such as the Advocacy Quality Performance Mark (QPM), Investing in Volunteers and Investors in People accreditation
- Becoming a Mindful Employer and Disability Confident Employer
- Welcoming CHANGE to The Advonet Group in 2019
- Seeing our Autism AIM team pick up two awards in 2023
- Setting up Café Leep
Good luck!
For everything he has done for us, we wish Philip the best of luck in your new role. We promise we won’t forget him and ensure that we build on all the good work we have done under his leadership!
