Two members of our Board of Trustees are stepping down from their roles. Phil Gleeson and Dr Mushtaq Ahmed are departing after giving years of services to our Board. Their experience of working in the third sector and health and social care sector has been invaluable in informing our advocacy and inclusion work.
Huge thanks to Phil and Mushtaq for giving us their time, sharing their skills and making a major contribution to The Advonet Group. We wish you both all the best for the future! We are looking for a couple of people to fill their shoes and become new members of our Board of Trustees.
What we are looking for
Trustees are volunteers who help to make sure that we are delivering for the people we support. They meet regularly at board meetings every three months and, on occasion, attend planning days and sub-groups around areas like resources and development.
To register your interest in becoming a Trustee, please email Philip Bramson, our Chief Executive at [email protected] or call our office on 0113 244 0606 and ask for Philip to have an informal chat about the role.
We would particularly welcome applications from women, younger people, and people from South Asian and African-Caribbean communities, who are currently under-represented on our board.
The closing date for applications is Friday 15th March 2024 at 12 Noon.
