As part of the Leeds For All 2021 week of events marking Disability History Month and International Day of Disabled People led by Forum Central and the William Merritt Disabled Living Centre, The Advonet Group will be running a number of events.

Monday 29th November 2021
- Leep1 Holiday Hangout Christmas Afternoon with Café Leep
- From 1:30pm-3:30pm
- Café Leep, Unit 14, Unity Business Centre, 26 Roundhay Road, Leeds LS7 1AB
- Have fun making Christmas crafts with artist Amanda and the #abilitiesnotdisabilities team. You will learn to make lovely tree decorations, cards and gifts to give as beautiful presents or keep for yourself. Enjoy the good company of others, have lots of festive fun, make new friends and get creative! The café is open, serving lunches, homemade cakes, coffees, fresh lattes and treats.

Tuesday 30th November 2021
- Connect in the North and Asking You! – What’s Next in Leeds
- From 10:30am-12 Noon
- Thackray Medical Museum
- A working group of learning-disabled adults looking at what can be done in Leeds to improve their lives.

- Leeds Autism AIM – Autistic Question Time
- 2pm-3pm
- On Zoom – free to attend
- A panel discussion where people can ask autistic members of staff about what it’s like to be autistic

Wednesday 1st December 2021
- Leep1 Friendship Group

- A special online social for adults with learning disabilities and/or autistic adults. Cook, eat, have lots of fun, sing and dance!

Friday 3rd December
- Advonet Group stall at the Leeds For All Marketplace event
- 10am-3pm – free to attend

- If you plan to attend the Market Place event at Leeds City Museum, we would be grateful if you could register your attendance on Eventbrite.
- There is a quiet hour for neurodivergent visitors in Brodrick Hall from 10am-11am
- CHANGE – We are Out Spoken!
- 10am-11am – free to attend
- Join us for a workshop to find out more about the inclusion project involving LGBTQI+ people, who are also autistic and/or have a learning disability. Learn more about the barriers people face and how you can be an ally.
