Our Community Advocacy team have been running the Winter Wellbeing Project since December 2018. The project’s aim is to provide information and advocacy for people from different communities in Leeds around staying well during the cold winter months.
We delivered a Winter Wellbeing drop-in session at the Unity Business Centre on Tuesday 12th February. The project workers have been promoting the session around Leeds while working on the project. All communities were invited to attend and we collected and displayed a range of information regarding support on health and wellbeing needs.
Volunteers supported with language where required. Refreshments were also provided to create a hospitable and comfortable environment. The session was very successful and those who attended were offered support in a group or one-to-one session.
