The Winter Wellbeing Project will be delivered by our Community Advocacy team, and is to start early next year. It is for people from BAME and East European communities in Leeds. We will be working with a range of services and organisations at a series of drop-in sessions across the city. Each drop-in offers support and information on:
- Health and wellbeing – issues like wanting to get fit and addressing mental health and anxiety
- Housing – issues such as energy bills, needing a new boiler and living in a damp house
- Debts – managing them
Our Community Advocates will be available to chat and provide help at the drop-in or book a one-to-one session with individuals if requested. As well as that, the Winter Wellbeing drop-in sessions provide refreshments.
When and where?
The project will consist of drop-in sessions taking place in venues throughout Leeds and also at our Advonet office, more to be announced in due course.
