For the Christmas and New Year period, we will be closed on some dates. This is due to the Bank Holidays and, in some areas, reduced staff availability. Below, we have information on when our advocacy, autism and learning disability services are available at this time of year.
Office, referrals and enquiries
Our office will be closed for enquiries by phone, email and text on weekends as usual, as well as on these dates:
- Thursday 25th December 2025 – Christmas Day
- Friday 26th December 2025 – Boxing Day
- Thursday 1st January 2026 – New Year’s Day
There will be staff in on other weekdays, such as Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, but response times may be longer than usual. We will be taking referrals and enquiries as normal from Friday 2nd January 2026.
Community Advocacy Hubs
Between Monday 22nd December 2025 and Friday 2nd January 2026, we will not be running any in-person or online Community Advocacy Hub sessions. We will be back to normal on the week starting Monday 5th January 2026.
Bradford and Craven Autism AIM
The Bradford and Craven Autism AIM service is closed for enquiries and one-to-one appointments from Monday 22nd December 2025 to Friday 2nd January 2026. They will be back open as normal from Monday 5th January 2026.
Leeds Autism AIM
Our Leeds Autism AIM service will be closed for enquiries and one-to-one appointments from Monday 22nd December 2025 to Friday 2nd January 2026. They will be back open as normal from Monday 5th January 2026.
They will only be running one drop-in Autism Hub this month on Tuesday 9th December, open from 4pm-7pm. Their regular in-person and online peer-led groups will run as normal this month, whilst their in-person Mental Health Peer Support Group will be on Thursday 8th January from 6pm-7pm.
Asking You! and Learning Disability Day Opportunities
Our Asking You service will be closed between Christmas Eve (Wednesday 24th December 2025) and Monday 5th January 2026.
As for our Learning Disability Day Opportunities service, they will be closed from 3:30pm on Friday 19th December 2025. They will reopen on Tuesday 6th January 2026.
Our seasonal events and resources
Our Learning Disability Evening Socials are running a Christmas-themed Club Night at Popworld in Leeds. It is on Thursday 18th December 2025 from 6:30pm-9:30pm.
Tickets are £10 on the door; carers/support go for free. Please note that carers/support may be asked for their work ID badge. There is a festive fancy dress theme!
On Tuesday 23rd December 2025, the Asking You! team are running a workshop for their Empower and Employ project on interview skills. It is for adults with learning disabilities in Leeds and on from 1:30pm-3:30pm. If you or someone you know wants to attend, please email [email protected].
Our Autism AIM service will be publishing a series of seasonal information guides and resources for autistic adults in Leeds, Bradford and Craven.
They include:
- An updated version of their Wintertime Wellbeing Guide
- A three-week planner spanning Christmas and New Year
- Guides with information on services and support available during Christmas, including public transport, food aid, supermarket opening times and local services open at that time
