We are delighted to announce that The Advonet Group has signed up to the West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter. The scheme, led by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, is all about ensuring that fair working practices are upheld. Fair work:

  • Improves productivity
  • Boosts morale
  • Encourages innovation

As an advocacy charity, we aim to make sure all our staff are treated fairly, supporting colleagues with their wellbeing, making sure everyone feels included in the workplace and that we pay fairly.

What is the Fair Work Charter about?

It is built around five pillars:

  • Opportunity: Offering inclusive routes into employment and for career progression.
  • Fulfilment: Giving all employees the opportunity to learn, develop and connect with a purpose.
  • Wellbeing: Helping all employees lead happy and healthy lives by fostering good physical and mental health.
  • Security: Creating safe and predictable working conditions, including paying the Real Living Wage.
  • Employee voice: Empowering all employees to contribute to the success of your organisation, including through trade unions.

In being a member, we aim to become a better place to work. We will also be networking with other member organisations, including other charities working in West Yorkshire.
