We are delighted to announce the appointment of Eloise Sutcliffe as Autism AIM Service Manager. After joining us as a Universal Advocate back in 2020, she became Universal Advocacy Lead for our Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) and Care Act Advocacy Services in 2024.

Eloise will be working as AIM Service Manager three days a week, whilst still serving as Universal Advocacy Lead for Care Act Advocacy for the other two. She brings plenty of advocacy experience and passion to the role and is excited about taking on this new challenge:

It’s been a privilege to work with the people of Leeds at Advonet, and to be part of such a values-driven organisation. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve achieved together within IMCA and Care Act Advocacy, and I feel grateful to have worked alongside such a dedicated and passionate team of advocates.

“I’m now excited to step in to the role of Service Manager for AIM and continuing to build and champion strong, person-centered services that make a real difference.”

Making connections

Starting in her new role in March, Eloise will be connecting with Autism AIM’s funders, partners and staff across Leeds, Bradford and Craven. This will be over the next couple of months.

She will also be speaking to clients at Leeds Autism AIM’s Autism Hub sessions, getting a feel for what the service does. Eloise joins at a good time, as Leeds Autism AIM are starting new partnership work with Citizens Advice Chapeltown on providing access to justice for autistic adults in the city.

AIM have also recently recruited Sophia, a new Coordinator who will be helping to process referrals and meet new clients across the whole service.

Path to progression

Since joining us, Eloise has been a Universal Advocate, Deputy Advocacy Manager, and Universal Advocacy Lead. As AIM Service Manager, she will be part of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Eloise’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to giving all our staff the opportunity to develop and progress whilst working for us. This is through advertising job vacancies internally and externally, providing access to training and giving colleagues time to learn on the job.

Eloise completed both her Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification and Black Belt Advocacy’s Advocacy Leadership Course whilst working for us. Read more about working for us on our Careers page.
