Advonet is a growing organisation working with people who are marginalised to raise their voices and have their rights respected.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about upholding the rights of people to work as a Universal Advocate and join our existing team of advocates already providing this service across Leeds.

You will use your specialist knowledge and proven advocacy skills to deliver advocacy. We are recruiting to our Community Advocacy Team and Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) team. You will be based initially in one of these teams. However, over time you will be expected to work across all the advocacy disciplines as required.

You need to be working or have worked in a similar role and be willing to work towards achieving the Independent Advocacy Qualification.

To apply for this role, please complete the Advonet Application Form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form, which can be found on the links on this page, along with a detailed job description and person specification (CVs will not be accepted). Please return applications to jobs@advonet.org.uk.

If you would like more information or an informal chat about the post please call on 0113 244 0606 and ask to speak to Libby Plum, Community Advocacy Manager or Paul Holland, IMHA manager.

We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME), LGBTQ+ and non-binary candidates and individuals with disabilities and/or experiencing mental health difficulties who are often under-represented in some elements of the organisation.

Download the forms by clicking on each button. Then, once completed, please email them to jobs@advonet.org.uk.
