We have an opportunity to apply for the role of Referrals Assistant within the Single Point of Access (SPA) team of Advonet.
This post will involve working within the SPA team and plays a crucial role within Advonet to receive all initial personal, telephone, email and web based inquiries. You’ll be the first point of contact for all enquiries from the public and inform service professionals about advocacy services in an efficient and user friendly way.
You’ll have a duty to be fully aware of the full range of services provided by Advonet and be able to confidently and clearly provide advice and information, signposting a range of clients to a variety of services.
You’ll need to be fully computer literate and accustomed to using different software systems (Windows and cloud-based databases) in order to ensure our referrals are handled effectively.
We are looking for someone who is friendly and approachable with the ability to build a rapport with a wide range of people. We do receive calls from people in distress, so you’ll be able to handle all manner of calls and know how to navigate the difficult ones resiliently.
You’ll be accustomed to managing your own workload and prioritising your tasks, and ensuring you keep to deadlines. Attention to detail and multi-tasking are really important in this role to ensure you record our clients’ information accurately.
Ideally, you’ll have knowledge or experience of how advocacy services work and be used to dealing with sensitive and personal information, whilst working within the law in respect to data protection.
