The next People’s Parliament meeting is next Tuesday. It is where adults with learning disabilities in Leeds can have their say on issues affecting them to the Leeds Adult Learning Disability Partnership Board.

At the meeting:

  • We will be hearing from Alison Conyers, Lead Professional, Learning Disabilities and Autism at the NHS Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. Alison will be talking about the images they use about health. She will also talk about ways to find health information
  • Cathy Wintersgill, Chief Executive at Connect in the North will be in. She will be asking about the things that stop people being social and the things that help them. Cathy will be taking people’s questions and suggestions to the next Partnership Board in December. It is focused on Being Social
  • Simon Phillips, Community Engagement Officer for West Yorkshire Police, will talk about volunteering with them

There will also be an update from the Partnership Board. They will talk about what happened at their last meeting.
