Job Title: Lead Advocate (IMCA Qualified)

Salary: £25,250 per annum, pro rata for part-time working
Hours: 18.5 hours per week (flexible working available)
Pension available

Advonet is a growing organisation working with people who are vulnerable or marginalised to raise their voices and have their rights respected.

We have an opportunity to apply for the role Lead Advocate with Independent Mental Capacity Advocates (IMCA) experience to join our existing team of advocates already providing this service across Leeds.

You will use your specialist knowledge and proven advocacy skills to deliver advocacy particularly in the IMCA service area though over time, you will be expected to work across all the advocacy disciplines as required.

You will be an expert practitioner who will be a mentor to volunteers, new advocates and advocates working in other disciplines; as well as a source of support to external partner agencies who provide advocacy.

You need to be working or have worked in a similar role with the national advocacy qualification for IMCA or be qualified by experience and working towards the national qualification.

Job Title: Leeds Autism AIM Co-ordinator

Salary: £23,000 per annum pro rata
Hours: 22-30 hours per week – to be arranged
Pension available

Fixed term contract to 31st March 2019 (with hours then reviewed)

Interviews to be held on: Friday 11th May

We have an opportunity to apply for the role of AIM Coordinator within the innovative Leeds Autism AIM service area of Advonet.

This post will involve coordinating several aspects of the service, including the information/signposting provision and supporting the autism drop-in hubs as well as elements of partnership working.

We are looking for a person with a good understanding of local and wider issues affecting this group who is passionate about addressing barriers and implementing solutions in co-production with autistic adults.

We have an opportunity to apply for the role of Autism Peer Development Worker within the innovative Leeds Autism AIM service area of Advonet.

This post will involve supporting the Leeds Autism AIM team to explore/develop solutions to supporting autistic adults more effectively, both within our service and wider. It will involve direct support/consultations at our hub services, exploring the development of self advocacy/peer support approaches, linking with local services and developing and delivering personalised training to varied groups.

We are looking for someone with lived experience of autism with a good understanding of local and wider issues affecting this group, who is passionate about addressing barriers creatively with support of the autism team.
