Free LGBTQ+ training sessions for health and social care professionals
Starting next month, the Leeds LGBTQ+ Health Inclusion Project will be running three half-day training sessions for health and social care professionals. The sessions are for anyone working in health and/or social care who works with LGBTQ+ people in Leeds who:
- Are autistic
- Have a learning disability
- Have mental health difficulties
Each course covers the barriers faced by people from those communities and what can be done to overcome them. The training will be delivered by people working on the project, many of whom are LGBTQ+ themselves. Lunch and refreshments will be provided free of charge.
Dates, times and venues
The three sessions take place on the following dates and times:
- Tuesday 12th November – 10am-1pm
- Tuesday 26th November – 10am-1pm
- Tuesday 10th December – 10am-1pm
All three workshops will be at the Unity Business Centre, just to the north of Leeds City Centre. It is at this address:
