• Salary: £25,390.52 per annum FTE
  • Hours: 22 hours per week until 31st March 2026. NB: Work pattern can be discussed with candidates, but ward meetings happen on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays

We have an exciting opportunity for someone interested in developing their existing advocacy skills to work as a Senior Advocate based on-site for up to three days each week in Waterloo Manor. Waterloo Manor is a 56-bed independent hospital that provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mental health disorders. The Hospital provides low secure and rehabilitation services.

Waterloo Manor is run by Inmind Healthcare Group and The Advonet Group have a contract with Inmind to deliver a service in this setting.

Due to the nature of this role, we are only accepting applications from female candidates. The role has a genuine occupational requirement for a female employee, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. We consider female to include applicants who are proposing to undergo, are undergoing, or have undergone gender reassignment from male to female. This includes gender fluid and non-binary individuals.

You will use your knowledge and proven skills to undertake Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), working with inpatients to make sure their rights are upheld under the Mental Health Act Legislation. Time dependent, you will undertake additional work around self and group advocacy. You will be responsible for capturing reporting information and producing a quarterly monitoring report.

You need to ideally hold or be willing to work towards achieving the Independent Advocacy Qualification (IAQ) at level 3 or 4.
