Advonet is a growing organisation working with people who are vulnerable or marginalised to raise their voices and have their rights respected. We now have 2 vacancies for Independent Mental Capacity Advocates working on a sessional basis to join our existing team of advocates already providing this service across Leeds.
Your role will be to provide professional advocacy under the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and other legislation relevant to those deemed to lack mental capacity. You will work to ensure that their wishes, feelings, beliefs and needs are taken into account in decisions around their care and support, leading to strong outcomes for the individual.
Previous experience of working as an IMCA, acting as a RPR or working with people who lack capacity or have a learning disability would be an advantage, as would an understanding of Mental Health. You will also have or be willing to work towards the National Advocacy Qualification IMCA and DoLS modules. Applications should be made using the Advonet Application Form (CVs cannot be accepted). The Application Form and additional information can be found below or alternatively contact email@example.com for an application pack.
Interviews to be held on: Friday 21st July.
